We hope you'll join us for a great art exhibition and refreshments.

   Here's your invitation!

Dear Friend of the Listhús Art Gallery,

I'm happy to have you visit our website today and hope you'll enjoy all the wonderful artists on our site. Here at Listhús Gallery, we enjoy showing new and interesting art to our community and we hope you will find our website to be just a little different from all the others. We feature Icelandic art, both in original and print forms, Greenwich Workshop art prints, originals by artists in the Shenandoah Valley, and a few other favorites, as you will see. In addition to fine art, we offer many wonderful gift items such as jewelry by Holly Yashi and some local beaders and glass blowers, Miche Bag purses and covers, pottery, Christmas ornaments, and so much more. Our motto is, there is something “you-nique” for everyone in our gallery, even if it is just delicious eye candy!

If you live in the northern Virginia area, or will be visiting in December, we would like to invite you to our Christmas celebration, featuring the “Essential Christensen” art exhibit sponsored by Greenwich Workshop.  Inspired by the world's myths, fables and tales of imagination, James C. Christensen wants his work to add up to more than a beautiful - if sometimes "curious" looking work of art. Having taught art professionally for over 20 years, he likes to think of the world as his classroom. His hope is that through whatever he creates-be it porcelain figurine, fine art print or book, he can convey a message, inspiration or a simple laugh. He believes that teaching people to use their imagination helps us find solutions to sooth the stresses of everyday life-or get a little lift to help us keep going. In short: all things are possible when you share Christensen's philosophy that "Believing is Seeing."! He also paints inspirational pieces that are equally thought provoking. The celebration will be held at the gallery, 205 E. Main Street in Historic Downtown Front Royal, from 5pm to 8pm on December 12th .   Please visit our "Directions to the Gallery" page for a link to a Google Map of the location. And here’s the best news—the first 40 guests will receive a free art print of "Jellyfish on a Stick" from James C. Christensen!
